The Thirty Fourth International Physics Olympiad will be held in Taipei from August 2nd to 11st, 2003. The physics community and the people of Taiwan warmly welcome delegations from all countries to visit Taiwan. Jointly supported by the Ministry of Education and the National Science Council, this Olympiad will be organized by National Taiwan Normal University, the leading university in providing training and preparing programs for quality high school teachers in Taiwan. The university also served as the organizer of the 39th International Mathematics Olympiad in 1998 and the 2nd Asian Physics Olympiad in 2001.
The number "3" symbolizes that we are expecting the third giant in physics in the near future!
The logo of the Thirty Fourth International Physics Olympiad was designed by Mr. Jong-Chyi Chang, a teacher of Taipei Municipal Ta-An Senior Vocational Industrial School.
