My original research interest was on the ionization mechanism of the atomic inner-shell electrons by ions. I shifted my interest in doing the Compton Profiles of some precision ceramics and some transition metals later. At the same time I engaged myself in the project of beamline construction at the Synchrotron Radiation Research Center, Hsinchu. So, my work covers several fields: Radiation Physics, Atomic Physics, Solid State Physics, and Optical Engineering. Currently, I am working on  the electronic structure of some High-Tc superconducting cuprates by x-ray absorption spectroscopy using synchrotron radiation.
